USMNT through to the knockouts after seeing off Australia

SEATTLE - The United States booked their place in the Round of 32 with a composed 2-0 win over Australia at Lumen Field. Christian Pulisic opened the scoring before Folarin Balogun sealed it late on.
Back-to-back wins over Paraguay and Australia leave Mauricio Pochettino's side top of Group D on six points and already through to the knockout rounds.
The USMNT are not in action today. They close the group stage against Türkiye on Thursday, June 25, at SoFi Stadium, with top spot and seeding still to play for.
