David hat-trick leads Canada to historic 6-0 rout of Qatar

VANCOUVER - Canada produced the result of the night, thrashing Qatar 6-0 at BC Place behind a Jonathan David hat-trick and a brace from Alphonso Davies. Stephen Eustáquio completed the scoring.
Roared on by a sold-out home crowd, Jesse Marsch's side were relentless from Davies' early surges down the left to David's clinical finishing. It is one of the most emphatic wins in Canadian men's World Cup history.
The result lifts Canada level with Switzerland at the top of Group B and turns their meeting later in the group stage into a likely decider.
